Use

Polenta, a traditional Italian cornmeal dish, originated in northern Italy and offers endless culinary possibilities.

When freshly made, polenta is soft and creamy, similar to porridge. As it cools, it firms up and can be sliced into wedges or shapes.

Polenta also serves as a great gluten-free alternative to flour in baked goods like cakes, biscuits, and pastries.

As a side dish, it can be used as a base for sauces or as a substitute for pasta, rice, or potatoes. Leftover polenta is equally versatile—simply grill it, then top with flavorful additions like mushroom ragù, roasted peppers, tomatoes, or cheese.

About the Farm

Located in Three Oaks, Michigan, Granor Farm is a diversified, certified organic farm that has been cultivating fresh, local produce since 2007. Founded in 2006, the farm began with a focus on vegetable production and has steadily grown each year, refining its understanding of the local soil and improving its fertility. Today, Granor Farm produces over 100 varieties of organic and heirloom vegetables, herbs, flowers, and grains.

At the heart of Granor Farm is its Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, which allows members to pre-purchase a season’s worth of fresh, organic vegetables each spring.

Beyond food production, Granor Farm is also passionate about architectural and landscape design. The farm features a variety of thoughtfully designed structures, including a farmhouse, greenhouse, hoop houses, long and tall pole barns, a farmstand, and even an “edible” barnyard—all reflecting the farm’s commitment to blending modern aesthetics with sustainable farming practices.
